Congratulations to the Gemini School Class of 2008!

-

Thursday, July 3rd was Graduation Day at Gemini School. Three incredibly talented young artists donned their caps and gowns, received their diplomas and now are moving on to conquer the commercial art world.

Graduation is always a time of reflection, and ours was no exception. Roger, in his commencement address, noted that he had been an artist for 53 years! And, although the world and tools have changed, many things about art, artists and especially working artists remain the same: it still takes fundamental skills, practice, hard work and a creative spirit to succeed. One thing struck me in Rog's speech--he said "Life is exciting and sometimes taking risks is indispensable. Do not ever work from a position of fear. Fear is your greatest enemy. Jump and a net will open under you."

And so, Congratulations to our risk takers-- the Gemini School Class of 2008. Drew Johnson, AJ Trahan and Tiffany Tucker (pic above)!
